What is Kadir Has University’s Student Council?

The Student Council at Kadir Has University consists of democratically elected student representatives, and is an administrative body that serves as a bridge between the student body and the administration, the goal of which is to foster students’ participation in the government of the university.

Our Mission:

The main aim of the Kadir Has University Student Council is to present students’ perspectives in every field, and to develop a solution-focused partnership with the administrative bodies of our modern university to address student desires and suggestions. The Council will focus in particular on increasing the quality of education at the university and the living standards herein, and on representing the students in the best possible manner in comparison with other, similar institutions in Turkey and abroad.

Our Vision:

The vision of the Kadir Has University Student Council is to be the student factor in making and maintaining our institution as a modern, world-class university.

What does the Kadir Has University Student Council do?

  • Through the president and the representatives chosen from every faculty, the Council participates in the meetings of university administrative bodies on those issues pertaining to students, bringing problems, perspectives and potential solutions to the table and generally representing the student body.
  • Committees formed by the Council also suggest and implement scientific, creative, novel, and research projects and/or ideas aimed at addressing student concerns and providing solutions to student problems at the university.
  • Council members work to publicize announcements and opportunities at our university in a way that allows students to benefit the most from them, and prepare surveys and reports to better understand the students’ perspectives and needs.
  • All student members of Kadir Has University’s faculties, vocational schools, language schools, institutes, and graduate schools are natural members of the Council and stand to benefit from the Council’s activities.
