To apply: You must fill out the online form on our university’s website and upload all requested documents to the system. When the application is completed, the message “Your application has been completed successfully” will appear on the screen. Your application will not be completed without seeing this statement. Be sure to record your candidate number assigned to you. Lists will be announced by candidate number, not by name.

The Online Application Form will be activated on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 10:00 and will remain active until Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 17:00. Applications cannot be made after Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 17:00. We recommend that you do not leave your application until the last day.

The application fee is 1500 TL.

Important reminder:

• As of the 2024-2025 Academic Year, the Basic Proficiency Exam (TYT) threshold score (Placement Score) of the Faculty of Art and Design, Department of Theatre has been determined as 230.
• Foreign candidates can contact the International Office with questions regarding the application and registration process.
• Make sure that you have entered your Turkish Republic ID number, mobile phone number and e-mail address without any errors.
• Applications of those who do not have a candidate number will be deemed invalid.

Stage 1 Exam

Candidates will work in groups. Group lists will be published on our website with the date and time after the applications are completed. No preliminary preparation is required for the work. This phase takes approximately 3-4 hours.

Important note: It is recommended to come in comfortable clothes and bring a spare set of clothes. It is recommended to come prepared as you will be allowed to enter the workshop without shoes due to hygiene rules.

Stage 2 Exam

In the second stage, candidates prepare in advance,

• with a drama (monologue)
• They perform a comedy piece (monologue) on stage in front of the jury and
• they sing a song.

Important notes:

• No special vocal work is required for the song. There is no accompaniment with recorded music or piano. Candidates sing a song they like in any musical genre, however they want. We recommend that you choose a song you like rather than a singing or musical piece. For example, we would like to hear a song you enjoy singing in the shower.
• Drama, comedy and song should not be longer than 3 minutes each.
• The jury may conduct additional studies with the candidates during the exam.
