Our faculty member from the Visual Communication Design department Dr. Lecturer Member Balca Arda The project titled “Preparing Istanbul for Earthquake with Digital Gamification Design: Participatory Action Research for Transforming Disaster Preparedness into a Widespread Daily Practice”, which she led, was awarded support within the scope of the 2515-COST European Cooperation Program in Science and Technology.

The aim of this project, presented by Dr. Arda as MC Member in the action “Grassroots of Digital Europe: from Historic to Contemporary Cultures of Creative Computing (GRADE)-CA21141” as 1001 out of 2515, is to design an earthquake preparation mobile gamification application that includes pre- and post-disaster stages prepared with field work in Istanbul and can be widely used in daily life in countries in earthquake zones.
