Project Support to Prof. Dr. Banu Baybars within the Scope of TÜBİTAK 3005

The project titled “Problem Identification and Solution Suggestions in Pre-Crisis Communication in Disaster Management” by Prof. Dr. Banu Baybars, one of our academicians from the Department of Public Relations and Publicity, has been awarded support within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 3005 – Innovative Solutions in Social and Human Sciences Program.

This project; Focusing on making societies more resilient through healthy communication approaches and on the fact that crisis communication in disaster management is a process that starts before the crisis, will first identify the problems in current disaster mobile applications by conducting in-depth interviews with NGOs working in this field and will continue with survey studies to be conducted after the problem determination. Solution suggestions will be developed in the light of the analysis of the obtained data. In this context, the project will contribute to the literature on disaster management as well as being a guide that potential stakeholders working on artificial intelligence and disaster technologies can use.

We congratulate our teacher Banu and wish her success in her research.
