The Erasmus+ Key Action 2 (KA226) project titled Good DEEDs: Digital Energy Efficiency Designers, coordinated by our faculty member in the Department of Economics Prof. Dr. Meltem Ucal in Turkey and involving our university and five other institutions from Italy, Greece, Portugal, Latvia and Romania, aims to raise awareness about digital energy efficiency and the impact of carbon footprint, especially among vocational education students.
The 36-month project developed a methodology and a learning platform for teachers and students in order to promote a strategy for the continuous and sustainable growth of skills in digital energy efficiency. In addition, a platform titled Online Good DEEDs to support continuous education in digital energy efficiency and a series of educational tools for vocational high school teachers were created.
Within the scope of the project, an international workshop was organized in Nocera, Perugia, Italy between July 6-9, 2023, and the Ankara Balgat Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School team from Turkey participated in the workshop; Head Teacher Mathematics Teacher Nadime Sibel Aslan and students Emir Talha Demir, Umutcan Karaca and Yuşa Eren Ilgaz were selected.
Our team, which was selected for the event hosted by European Grants International Academy, one of the partners of the Good DEEDs project, came together with vocational high school teachers and students from different countries such as Italy, Greece, Portugal, Latvia, Romania and Ukraine, received training on digital energy efficiency, made presentations and carried out joint studies. We congratulate the Ankara Balgat Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School team, whose presentations were highly appreciated, and wish them continued success.
