Senate Decision Principles for Course Substitution and Grade Transfer

1. Courses with the same code, name, and credit that have been successfully completed in the main program and are also part of double major programs are directly transferred to the double major program by the Directorate of Student Affairs.

2. Courses taken in the main programs can be transferred in the double major and minor programs upon the student’s request. Similarly, courses taken in double major and minor programs can be transferred in the main programs upon the student’s request.

3. Substitution processes can be carried out for courses with different codes and/or credits but equivalent content, based on faculty decisions.

4. Requests for course substitution must be made within the specified period in the academic calendar. The two weeks following the last day for the announcement of final exam grades and make-up exam grades in the fall and spring semesters are considered as the application period.

5. Course substitution processes must be in line with the curriculum of the program the student intends to transfer the courses in.

6. Applications for course substitution are made by filling out the Course Substitution Application Form, available on MYKHAS under Forms >> Applications.

7. Students can track course substitution and grade transfer processes through their SPARKS accounts in graduation simulations.
