The team named Tripy, formed by our students, became a finalist in the Tourism Technologies category of the Pre-Take Off event to be held within the scope of TEKNOFEST Izmir.

The company idea named Tripy, which was successful in the KHAS1724-S01-2022.2 Building Blocks of Entrepreneurship course opened for the first time last semester within the scope of the Core Program and was selected among the top three ideas by Inveo Ventures investors at the end of the course, belongs to Mehmet Enes Oy, a student of our Computer Engineering department. Other students in the team are Efe Tekin and Mehmet Ekin Ay from the Computer Engineering department, Zeren Safi from the Advertising department, and İrem Keser from the Molecular Biology and Genetics department.

The project, which was put forward during a casual conversation about COVID-19 and its effects, emerged as a software-based idea that could benefit from the downturn in the tourism sector. We congratulate our students who made it to the finals with this “integrated” application idea called Tripy, where adventure-loving people can both socialize and design their vacation plan packages and list them on the marketplace, and we wish them continued success.
