Ezgi Tuncer is an associate professor at Kadir Has University (KHAS) in Istanbul. She is the director of the Center for Istanbul Studies and the Architectural and Urban Studies M.Sc. program at KHAS. She researches and teaches on ethno-spatial methodologies; rhythm-analysis and everyday life practices; space, politics and power; migration and displacement; border studies and political philosophy; contemporary art and space. Between 2020 and 2022, she worked as a visiting researcher at the UKRI GCRF Center for Gender, Justice and Security at LSE and co-investigator of the Gender Dynamics of International Labor Migration project under the Migration and Displacement Stream. She also worked as the principal investigator of the research project titled “Transnational Urbanism and Everyday Life Practices of Skilled Migrants in Istanbul” supported by TUBITAK between 2022-2024.
