FENS Seminars – Dr. Lecturer Dilek Bilgin Tükel

The new guest of the seminar series organized by our Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences will be Dilek Bilgin Tükel (Doğuş University, Altinay Robot Technologies Company).

Özet: Every product of intelligence has propelled humanity forward, surpassing the achievements of the previous era. As machines continue to integrate more deeply into human life, human values undergo transformation. Many potential developments and trends are foreseen regarding future robotic systems, such as AI integration and human-robot collaboration. In this seminar, we will explore the concept of robots, examine their current applications, and consider their potential impact on the industry and our lives in the future.

About the Speaker: Dilek Bilgin Tükel was born in Adana, Turkey, in 1965. She received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering, in 1987, the M.S. degree from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, in 1990, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Heverlee, Belgium, in 1997. She has been an Assistant Professor with the Software Engineering Department, Doğuş University, and the Research and Development Leader with Altinay Robot Technologies Company, Istanbul, Turkey. Her research interests include modeling and control of robotic systems, industrial automation systems, AR/VR, and the IoT.
