Kadir Has University Department of Economics is hosting a series titled “KHAS Global Political Economy Seminars”. This series of events will be conducted by invited international social scientists who will analytically examine the developments in the world economy after neoliberal globalization and “aim not only to understand our world but also to change it”.
Throughout the program, topics such as climate crisis and green transformation; social exclusion and inequality in gender, ethnicity and all areas; global labor markets; financialization and the 21st century of global capitalism will be discussed.
The first event of the series on Wednesday, October 26 will feature Ann Pettifor from Progressive Economy Forum and Goldsmith’s College Political Economy Research Center. Pettifor’s paper “The 1% – And Its Impact On The Ecosystem: The fragility of an international financial and economic system designed to serve the interests of wealth” at 20:00 Turkish time on Zoom and Youtube.
