Lighting Design Workshop
The LIGHTING DESIGN WORKSHOP: LIGHTS UP event, which aims to develop lighting design concepts and on-site application work for a selected area and defined actions with students who have taken courses on “Lighting” in the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, is organized between 9-12 May 2023.
Professional Lighting Designer and Interior Architect Mustafa Akkaya, one of the sectoral partners of our Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design within the scope of Project-Based Education, and Prof. Dr. Banu Manav, Dean of our Faculty of Art and Design and a faculty member of our Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, are conducting the event together.

09.05.2023 Tuesday / 14:30-17:30: Introduction of the workshop, presentation of the fixtures in DESIGNHUB-IST laboratory area, visuals from sample workshops and location exploration.
12.05.2023 Friday / 15:00-17:30: Examination of students’ lighting concept design presentations and sheets (mini jury).
12.05.2023 Friday / 18:30-22:30: On-site implementation of student designs and invitation of sponsor companies.
13.05.2023-17.05.2023: The period during which the designs are open to other students and guests.
