MEDNIGHT is a Mediterranean science dissemination project that connects knowledge centers at both ends of the Mediterranean and brings together a consortium of 10 institutions: FISABIO, INCLIVA, CSIC, MUDIC, El Kaleidoscope, SciCo Cyprus, University of Messina, Kadir Has University and the European Association of Women Rectors (EWORA), coordinated by SciCo Greece.

The Mediterranean Science Team 2023 is composed of 11 top-level female scientists whose experience demonstrates the value of women in science: Cristina Romera Castillo (Spain), Seda Keskin (Turkey), Serim İlday (Turkey), Despo Fatta-Kassinos (Cyprus), Rajaa Cherkaoui-El Moursli (Morocco), Sonia Hammami (Tunisia), Helena Canhão (Portugal), Safaa Kumari (Syria), Najat A. Saliba (Lebanon), Luisa de Cola (Italy) and Sarah Abdelkader (Egypt). The names chosen represent ten countries of the Mediterranean basin, making the Mediterranean Science Team 2023 a step towards creating a Mediterranean identity with science as a common connecting link.
