Information about 2023-2024 KHAS Theater Department Special Talent Exam (50 Percent Scholarship Additional Quota)

To apply: You must fill out the online form on our university’s website and upload all requested documents to the system.

When the application is completed, the phrase “Your application has been completed successfully” will appear on the screen. Your application will not be completed without seeing this statement. Be sure to record your candidate number assigned to you. Lists will be announced by candidate number, not by name.

The Online Application Form will become active on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 and will remain active until Monday, September 11, 2023 at 23:59. Applications will not be possible after 23:59 on Monday, September 11, 2023. We recommend that you do not leave your application to the last minute.

Important reminder:

  1. In order to apply for the Theater Department talent exam, you must have a 2023 TYT base score.
  2. As of the 2023-2024 Academic Year, the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) threshold score of the Faculty of Art and Design, Theater Department has been determined as 150.
  3. You can contact the Student Affairs Office with your questions about the YKS threshold score or the application and registration process of foreign citizens.
  4. Make sure that you enter your TR ID number, mobile phone number and e-mail address correctly.
  5. Applications of those who do not have a candidate number will be deemed invalid.

The application fee is 500 TL.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT ADDITIONAL QUOTA EXAM:

The Theater Department additional quota exam will start on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 10.00. All candidates are expected to be at Sahne KHas (Kadir Has University – Cibali Campus), where the exam will take place, at 10:00. Candidates must be in the area at least 30 minutes before the exam time. Candidates will be admitted in order. You should not lose your candidate numbers assigned to you during your application. Our exam is only open to 50% scholarship candidates. The exam consists of a drama, a comedy and a song.

Candidates must have their identity cards with them during the exam.

Candidates prepared in advance,

  1. with a drama (monologue)
  2. They perform a comedy piece (monologue) on stage in front of the jury and
  3. they sing a song.

Important notes:

  1. No special vocal work is required for the song. There is no accompaniment with recorded music or piano. Candidates sing a song they like in any musical genre, however they want. We recommend that you choose a song you like rather than a singing or musical piece. For example, we would like to hear a song you enjoy singing in the shower.
  2. Drama, comedy and song should not be longer than 3 minutes each.
  3. The jury may conduct additional studies with the candidates during the exam.

We have experienced that some parts do not help our candidates during the exam. Below is the list of parts that we do not recommend you choose:
