KHAS Short Film Competition Begins!
Organized for the first time this year by Kadir Has University Radio, Television and Cinema Department, the KHAS Short Film Competition sets out to encourage the creativity and originality of undergraduate and graduate students, discover young talents and support short film production on a national scale.
ATTENTION: At least one of the directors and/or producers of the films applying to the competition must be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey and have undergraduate or graduate student status.

THEME: “GAME”
The main theme of the KHAS Short Film Competition is “Game“. We invite our participants to think creatively and explore the possibilities of cinema based on this concept.
The game points to different meanings that can change and vary depending on where you look. The game can be an escape; for some, it is an experience in the virtual world, while for others, daily life itself can become a playground. It can evoke freedom or idleness, as well as competition and ambition.
The following themes may be inspiring for those who want to transform their creative journey with the concept of gaming into a short film:
- Virtual and real
- Idleness
- To make rules, to break rules
- Pleasure, enjoyment, reward
- Child, childhood, freedom
- Performance

- Application Start Date: Monday, December 11, 2023
- Application Deadline: Friday, May 3, 2024
- Ceremony Date: Will be announced later.
AWARDS
From the finalist films determined by the Preliminary Jury, the Main Jury will select 3 films and award cash prizes to the owners of the works:
- 1. Movie 30,000 ₺
- 2. Movie 20,000 ₺
- 3. Movie 15,000 ₺
