Prof.. Dr. Canan Dağdeviren is also included.

Canan Dağdeviren, an associate professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US, recently invented a wearable “electronic bra” for early detection of breast cancer through ultrasound. She was inspired by her aunt, who was diagnosed with late-stage breast cancer at the age of 49 despite regular cancer screenings and died six months later. Dağdeviren drew a rough schematic of a diagnostic device that could be placed inside a bra and would allow individuals at high risk of breast cancer to be screened more frequently, at her aunt’s bedside. The technology could potentially save millions of lives.
