Admission and Status Process

Information of the students who are accepted to the program is shared with the Directorate of Student Affairs by Erasmus and Exchange Office.

The status of students who complete the registration renewal process is updated for the relevant academic year and semester, and is reflected in the “e-Devlet” system as follows:

  • For Erasmus: ACTIVE STUDENT – ERASMUS (OUTGOING)
  • For Exchange: ACTIVE STUDENT – OTHER EXCHANGES – ABROAD (OUTGOING)

Registration Renewal and Tuition Fee

Students who join Erasmus/Exchange Program continue to renew their registration at Kadir Has University.

During the process:

  • Students are required to complete the registration renewal process on the dates specified in the academic calendar.
  • KHAS tuition fee continues to be paid.
  • During the Erasmus/Exchange period, no course registration is made at KHAS.
  • However, this period counts towards the student’s study period and their university enrollment continues.

Learning Agreement and Course Changes

Students who join the exchange program prepare a Learning Agreement before they start their education abroad. This agreement determines the courses the student will take and is approved by the Erasmus Coordinator of the relevant Department.

If a change is needed for the courses in the learning agreement during the study period, students can officially record the changes by preparing an updated learning agreement with the approval of the department coordinator.

Course Recognition and Grade Entry Process

  • Kadir Has University recognizes the courses successfully completed by students who have studied abroad for one or two semesters as Erasmus/Exchange students under the Erasmus+ and other bilateral agreements.
  • Transcripts of students who have studied abroad under the Erasmus/Exchange program are sent by the relevant university to the Kadir Has University Erasmus and Exchange Office. The Erasmus and Exchange Office forwards the students’ transcripts to the relevant faculty and initiates the recognition process.”
  • Courses taken and successfully completed abroad are recorded in the system with their original codes and names after the students return to Kadir Has University.
  • ECTS credits and grades are directly reflected on the student’s transcript.
  • The courses taken by the student at the partner university and their equivalents at KHAS are determined by the decision of the Faculty Board and submitted to the Directorate of Student Affairs to be recorded on the transcript.
  • Students can take a maximum of 30 ECTS credits worth of courses in one semester abroad.

This process ensures the official recognition of the international academic experiences of the students while maintaining the sustainability of their education.
