PhD Student Position Available in TUBITAK 2232 Project for Understanding Neural/GlialBiology Underlying Metabolic Adaptation

We are looking for an enthusiastic PhD Student to work in Asst.Prof. Yasemin Onder’s
International TUBITAK 2232 Project entitled: “Analysis of Adaptive Mechanisms in Inhibitory
Neurocircuitry Underlying Metabolic and Neuropsychiatric Disorders.” The goal of this project is
to understand the energy-status dependent plasticity in inhibitory neurocircuitry at a molecular
and circuit level, employing multidisciplinary methods including cell culture, molecular biology,
advanced imaging and mouse models. Duration of the project is 36 months (with one year
additional support for PhD students by TUBİTAK). Scholarship for PhD students is 24.000₺ (up to
30.000₺ with the additional life support fund provided by Kadir Has University).
