As Kadir Has University, we are pleased to offer post-doctoral researcher position to join the TREATMi project (Doctors on the move: Transnational Research into Healthcare Migration), a grant jointly funded by Volkswagen Foundation, Novo Nordisk Foundation, and Wellcome. The project is coordinated by Humboldt University (the Berlin Institute for Empirical Integration and Migration Research – BIM), Kadir Has University (Asst. Prof. Sibel Karadağ) and Izmir University of Economics (Prof. Hatice Deniz Yükseker Tekin).
The research project, which is eligible for funding within the scope of Phase 1 will start in August 2024 and will employ full-time post-doc researcher for 7 months. As of March 2025, it will be eligible to move on to the long-term Phase 2.
Job Description
The post-doc researcher will work on her/his research supervised by Asst. Prof. Sibel Karadağ in collaboration with other partner institutions. The project TREATMi addresses the growing trend of medical doctors migrating from countries like Iran and Turkey to destinations such as Germany. The project aims to understand the drivers and consequences of this phenomenon comprehensively.
