The workshop, which is considered as part of the construction site internship, examines the process of creating a whole from modular units by offering an experimental approach to concrete formwork techniques. In the first part of the workshop, participants were given the task of designing modular units by considering size and weight limitations, concrete material composition and construction methods. In the second part of the workshop, participants produced their molds, applied concrete inside and designed the coming together of the units in accordance with their designs. The process includes seminars, cement factory visits, use of digital production tools and practical experiences with concrete materials.
The products created by our students are exhibited at Cibali Campus and also published digitally on our FADPORT (https://fadport.khas.edu.tr/) page.
