The first leg of the UEFA Football Law Program, which is being organized for the fifth time this year, was held at Kadir Has University. The opening of the four-legged program, which is designed for lawyers who work in the field of football law and want to specialize in this field by following current developments, was hosted by Kadir Has University Sports Studies Center.
The first leg of the UEFA Football Law Program, which included 26 participants from many countries in Europe, consisting of sports lawyers working in football clubs and football federations, was held between October 2-6, hosted by Kadir Has University. On the first day of the program, Kadir Has University Rector Prof. Dr. Sondan Durukanoğlu Feyiz, Board of Trustees Member Dr. Levent Bıçakçı and Law Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Başak Baysal made the opening speeches. Following the opening speeches and for the following four days, trainings were organized and studies were conducted on current developments in football law under the title of ‘Introduction to Football Law’.
The Last Leg of the Programme Will Be Held at UEFA Headquarters
The UEFA Football Law Program, which will continue in three different cities after the Istanbul leg, will end in September 2024. Other hosts and titles of the program are;
* Between 19 – 23 February 2023, under the title of ‘FIFA transfer regulations’, hosted by the Czech Football Federation in Prague/Czechia,
* Between 8 – 12 April 2024, under the title of ‘Other Rules and Regulations in the Field of Football’, hosted by Venice Ca’ Foscari University in Venice/Italy,
* It will be held in Nyon/Switzerland, hosted by UEFA Headquarters, between 23 – 27 September 2024, under the title of ‘Structure and Functioning of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)’.
Participants will be given certificates by UEFA and Kadir Has University
The UEFA Football Law Program, which has been organized every two years since the 2015/16 academic year and has graduated more than 100 participants to date, will present successful participants with a participation certificate issued by the UEFA Academy and an advanced training certificate in football law issued by Kadir Has University.
